Virtual Webinar: Community Health
THE REWARDS AND CHALLENGES OF COMMUNITY-BASED ORAL HEALTH PROGRAMS
Saturday, April 14th, 2018 from 9 am to 5 pm PST
This interdisciplinary course discusses different models to provide oral health in a community-based setting, engaging the local leaders, families, teachers and medical care providers as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role of the different social actors is analyzed, and the strategies for sustainability are discussed. There are many models and each one has its own ins and outs, thus a discussion on successful experiences will help to identify appropriate ways to provide care, promote oral health, and at the same time, have a financially sustainable project.
